The Punjab caretaker government led by CM Mohsin Naqvi has achieved a new milestone by eliminating corruption in the issuance of arms licenses and making the process available online to ensure transparency.
The state home ministry and the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) signed an agreement on Punjab Arms License Management System ‘PALMS’. PALMS portal was officially launched by Prime Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
This online portal allows you to renew your firearms license across Punjab and also provides a convenient platform to transfer your firearms license to your heirs online.
Additionally, once PALMS is launched, applicants will be able to obtain a license immediately. Mohsin Naqvi said that the introduction of this system will make it possible to completely eliminate corruption in license issuance.
The Prime Minister praised Minister of Interior Mian Shakeel Ahmed and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior (Ministry of Justice) Farwa Amir for his contribution in launching the online portal.
He also praised the excellent implementation of the automatic issuance system for weapons permits. An agreement in this regard was signed by the Home Minister, Government of Punjab and his NADRA General Headquarters.
