Sindh: On January 23, 2023, the Services, General Administration, and Coordination Department of the government of Sindh issued a notification regarding the 15-year age relaxation in the upper age limit for candidates applying for Sindh positions. The specifics are as follows:
Notification of Fifteen Years Age Relaxation in Upper Age Limit in Sindh
In its notification, SGA & CD states that it follows this department’s notification of an even number dated July 27, 2020.
It states that despite the contents of the table provided in Rule 12(2) of the Sindh Civil Servants (Appointment, Promotion, and Transfer) Rules, 1974, and the orders contained in this Departments Notifications, with the approval of the Chief Minister of Sindh:

According to Notification
Please allow a maximum of 15 years (fifteen years) of age relaxation in the upper age limit, Sindh Government. Having said that, the relaxation applies to all applicants for positions and vacancies in the Government of Sindh’s departments.
The Sindh Public Service Commission will fill these positions through a Combined Competitive Examination (CCE), which excludes them from the Police Service. This relaxation applies to the vacancies that the Sindh Government will fill in order to relax regulations between July 1, 2022, and June 30, 2024.
This is a wise decision by the Sindh Government, as it will allow many overage employees to apply for government positions in Sindh Province. This kind of age relaxation for government positions should also be granted by other provinces and the federal government.
Female candidates’ ages have already been lowered by a number of governments. In this regard, various governments issued age relaxation regulations, including three years for females.
