Earlier this year, the Government of Punjab has announced the two-year age relaxation for PMS and all PPSC examinations. Notification of Two-Years Age Relaxation for All PPSC Examinations has been notified. This notification of two-year age relaxation on 26th January 2022 by the government of Punjab through S&GAD.
According to the notification of two-year age relaxation:
Notification number No.SOR-I (S&GAD) 9-2/2022 dated 26th January 2022. As per this and in the exercise of the powers conferred under section 23 of the Punjab Civil Servants Act, 1974 (VIII/ of 1974), the Governor of Punjab is pleased to make the following amendment in the Punjab Civil Servants Recruitment (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit) Rules, 1976, with immediate effect:
AMENDMENT In the Punjab Civil Servants Recruitment (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit) Rules,1976,
The amendment in the Punjab Civil Servants Recruitment (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit) Rules,1976, after rule 3, the following shall be added:
3A. Notwithstanding anything contained in these rules or anything contrary contained in any rules applicable to any post or service, two years general age relaxation, in addition to age relaxation admissible under these rules or any other rules, shall be admissible in respect of all the posts including those to be filled through the Punjab Public Service Commission and Combined Competitive Examinations:
Provided that this age relaxation shall not be available. for the recruitment of posts in Police Force:
Provided further that this age relaxation shall be admissible for the recruitment of posts with effect from 1. January 2022 till 31. December 2022.

So, now it is evident that this two-year age relaxation is only valid from 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2022 and not after this period.
