How to Get Arms License Registration from NADRA

The Federal Government in Pakistan authorized NADRA to issue the arms license in Pakistan. The NADRA Arms registration process is straightforward and easy to understand. NADRA has turned the old system of giving arms license into its modern system.

With the help of NADRA now the government of Pakistan can access those people who have arms very easily.

You should understand that the law regarding illegal weapons is very strict. A person with an illegal weapon can go to jail for at least seven years. Now it is necessary for all those persons who have an arm to get a license to legalize their season. So, here I am going to share with you how you can get your Arms license registration from NADAR easily.

Required Documents for Nadra Arms License Registration

I have given below a list of the minimum required documents for getting an arms license registration from NADRA.

  • Weapon license Application Form (download)
  • 01 copy of ID/CNIC Card
  • 02 Fresh passport-size photographs
  • Attach 01 copy of the NTN Certificate (Only for TaxPayers)
  • Certificate of Profession/Services
  • Keep your original CNIC Card With You

What if you have to renew my arms license?

Required Documents for Renewal of Arms License

In this case, you should submit the following documents NDARA office.

  • Application Form (download)
  • 01 copy of old Arm License
  • 01 copy of CNIC

Required Documents for New Arms License Registration for Companies & Organizations

The following documents are required to get Arms License Registration for Companies, Institutions & Organizations.

  • Application form of Interior Ministry (download)
  • Prepare separate applications for each weapon.
  • Attach the CNIC photocopies of the company’s CEO and contact person.
  • Paste one logo of the company on the Form and one logo attached to it.
  • Incorporation certificate by SECP
  • Form-29 duly certified by SECP (download)

Step-by-Step Procedure

Now let’s discuss the step-by-step procedure to obtain the Arms license from NADRA:

Once you have compiled the application form and attached the required documents you should follow the below-given steps.

Step 1: Application Form

You get the arms license application form from NADRA or you can download it from the DCO office or from the Ministry of Interior’s website.

Once you got the form now it’s time to fill it up with the most appropriate information required in the application form.

After that attach all the relevant documents with the form. The documents list given above may be changed from time to time so it’s better if you look out for the required documents on the application form.

Step 2: Submit the Form

In this step, you will submit your application form to the DCO office along with copies of the required documents for obtaining an arms license.

You will also submit the tickets amounting to Rs. 2000/-.

Note: the price of an arms license may vary from time to time. So, it is advisable to ask the relevant officer before making payment.

Next, the officer in charge will scan your fingerprints that’s why the applicant must be present at this time.

Step 3: Approval of Arms License

In the third step, you will submit the application to the DCO or ministry of Interior office and they will issue an approval certificate.

After taking the approval certificate, you will come to NADRA’s Data Accusation Unit (DAU) for obtaining an Arms license.

Required Documents for Nadra DAU’s Application

At the DAU they will ask you to provide the following documents:

  • 01 copy of ID/CNIC Card
  • Approval from DC or Interior Ministry
  • FingerPrints
  • Attach the CNIC photocopies of the company’s CEO and contact person.
  • Paste one logo of the company on the Form and one logo attached to it.
  • 02 Fresh passport-size photographs

The process at NADRA’s DAU:

upon reaching the DAU with relevant documents you will receive a token. Upon your turn, you will submit the application form and all the above-mentioned documents.

NADRA Arms License Fee for 2022

NADRA will charge the following fee for a Non-prohibited and prohibited arms license:

  • Non-prohibited bore License: PKR 6500
  • Prohibited bore License: PKR 10500

Step 4: Submission of Application

In the fourth and final step, you will submit your entire documents and fee to the DAU’s officer in charge. He will give you a form that needs approval from the assistant manager. You will take this from that assistance manager NDARA and then return back to the same officer.

That officer will hand over a computer slip that you will use to receive your license once it is ready.

You will also receive a confirmation Text Message from NADRA on your mobile number.

You can take your arms license from the NADRA branch where you submitted your application. Must bring your Original NIC and the slip from DAU.
