To start the process, the parent or legal guardian must take the child to a nearby NADRA registration center. The child must first be officially registered in the system to receive an application token.
Once the token is issued, the staff will take the child’s photograph and record their fingerprints. The accompanying parent or guardian must also undergo a mandatory biometric verification at the counter. After entering all the details, an approval officer will verify and clear the application.

When heading to the center, make sure you have the necessary details ready. You will need to provide the child’s computerized birth certificate, a valid mobile number, and an email address. The fingerprints of the parents will also be required during data entry. While either parent can process the application, the mother or legal guardian must be physically present if they are the ones submitting it.
Fee Structure and Processing Time
NADRA offers three different processing tiers depending on how quickly you need the card:
- Normal Service: Costs Rs. 750 and takes 31 days for delivery.
- Urgent Service: Costs Rs. 1,500 and takes 23 days for delivery.
- Executive Service: Costs Rs. 2,500 and takes 9 days for delivery.
