LAHORE : Punjab Traffic Police is the authority responsible for issuing and renewing driving licenses for eligible persons across the province. It is important to obtain a driving license before coming on the road. Because driving a vehicle will result in police proceedings and a fine if you do not obtain license from the relevant authorities. Driving licenses for motorcycles, cars, commercial vehicles etc. are issued by the traffic police station after verifying the applicant’s driving skills and knowledge. Once you pass the test, the authorities will issue you with a driver’s license that allows you to drive a vehicle on the road.

Required Documents for Driving License Renewal
Following are the documents required for the renewal of license:
- Copy of CNIC
- 2 Passport size photographs
- Medical certificate (issued by authorized medical practitioner)
- Medical Fitness Certificate (only for the candidates of the age of 50 years or above)
- Application form
- Original Driving License
- Relevant tickets
- Rs. 180 on STR form have to be deposited in the branch after passing the test.
