Special CSS Exam 2022

Islamabad: Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has announced to hold a special CSS examination in 2022. FPSC conducted this special CSS exam to fill up the vacancies that remained unfulfilled over the last many years. Here you will learn about the Special CSS Exam 2022.

Who Can Apply for Special CSS Exam

The special CSS exam shall be held for the following provincial or regional quotas only. Therefore, candidates of only the following regions/quotas will be eligible to apply:

Last Date to Apply for Special CSS Exam

The last date to apply for the special CSS examination is 31 December 2022.

Screening Test for Special CSS Exam

An MCQs Base Preliminary Test (MPT) shall be held prior to the written CSS special exam. Only qualifying candidates of MPT shall be eligible to apply for the special CSS examination.

Fee for MPT

The Fee for the MPT exam is Rs. 250/- (non-refundable)

Rules for Special CSS Examination

CSS Competitive Examination Rules notified vide SRO No. 1452(I)/2018 dates 27.11.2018, amended vide SRO No. 1516(I)/2021 dates 27.11.2021 shall apply to special CSS except following modification inserted vide Rule 22 of the Rules ibid Published vide SRO No. 1906(I)/2022 dated 14.10.2022:-

  • The upper age limit will be 32 years (vide rule 22 of the rules ibid). Two years of relaxation in the upper age limit to the categories specified in Rule 6(2) would also be admissible.
  • For the Special CSS exam, one additional fourth chance would be admissible.
