Part-I
(The Code of Civil Procedure 1908)

Q1. Discuss in detail the jurisdiction of civil courts and bars on the jurisdiction of civil courts.

Q2. What is the difference between the return of a plaint and the rejection of the plaint? Also, discuss the remedies available against the said orders.

Q3. How and under what circumstances can the court pass an ex parte decree against the defendant? what are the remedies available to the defendant against the ex parte decree?

Q4. What is the effect of omission to sue for one of several reliefs or relinquishing any part of the claim? Discuss.

Part-II
(The Limitation Act, 1908)

Q5. What is the effect of limitation to the suit on foreign contracts?

Q6. Limitation exiting the remedy but not the right. Discuss the statement in the context of the law or limitation.

Part-III
(The Registration Act, 1908)

Q7. What are the effects of non-registration of documents required to be registered?

Q8. Explain the law relating to the deposit of Wills under the Registration Act of 1908.

Part-IV
(The Qanoon-e-Shahadat Order, 1984)

Q9. Explain estoppel and its effect in civil cases. How is it different from Res Judicata?

Q10. Write a detailed note on facts that need not be proved.

Q11. What do you understand by the term “privileged communication”? explain the concept with particular reference to communications between spouses and their impact on the relevance of evidence.

Q12. What legal guidelines have been evolved by the QSO and judicial pronouncements for the relevancy and evidential value of expert opinion? Discuss with relevance to DNA and medical evidence.
